On air and online, we encourage the sharing of different points of view.While encouraging vigorous debate and critique, we expect all participants to treat each other with respect and courtesy. All contributions are moderated by Radio Australia. Comments must adhere to the ABC’s Conditions of Use and the following house rules.


Express yourself

We want to hear what you think about the stories on our website.

Play fair

Avoid language that other users may consider defamatory, abusive, offensive, bullying or in violation of laws regarding harassment, discrimination or racial vilification. Share. Provide links to other stories or websites that users will find appropriate and relevant to your comments.

Stay on topic

Be relevant and add value to discussions. Off-topic contributions or comments where the topic has already been widely canvassed on the site may be deleted.

Be honest

Don't make comments that are false, misleading or harmful. Respect others’ opinions. Comments are intended to open a dialogue rather than close it down, so allow everyone to be heard.

Be mindful of copyright and intellectual property rights

Only share content that is your own or that you have permission to distribute.
