From the security situation in Afghanistan, to the political volatily of Thailand which later this month hosts the ASEAN summit.
The summit was postponed in December, because anti-government demonstrators closed the nation's two airports for over a week. Thai authorities plan to deploy 3,000 police to secure the venue, in the coastal town of Hua Hin. Meanwhile, the government's stability remains under threat, with opponents accusing it of using the monarchy and lese majeste laws, to silence its critics.
