Sri Lanka blazes legal trail on internet

More often than not the only news on Sri Lanka deals with the civil war between the Government and Tamil Tiger rebels.
Yet Sri Lanka, a small country with a population of 20 million and per capita annual income of $US2,000, can claim leadership in a surprising aspect of the law.
It's making all its government and case law, treaties and other legal information freely available on the internet.
Its proponents say its an example of the strength of democracy and freedom of information in Sri Lanka.
