Japanese opposition leader quits

The leader of Japan's main opposition Democratic party Ichiro Ozawa has resigned after months of being implicated through his aide in a scandal.
But his long drawn out departure could well have given prime minister Taro Aso something few thought possible at the start of the year ... a real chance of winning the next election which is due before the end of September.
