With Burma planning to hold its first election in two decades next year, there are fears there could be widespread protest action against the military junta.
Two years after the junta's crackdown on anti-government protesters - a Human Rights Watch report shows Burma's Buddhist monks face continuing intimidation, repression and severe jail sentences.
