China careful to control inflation

China's interest rates could be hiked as soon as this weekend as Beijing seeks to avoid overheating in the world's engine of growth.

Lunar New Year celebrations fed into higher prices last month, but analysts say central bank officials will still need to keep a close watch on inflation.
