Vultures facing extinction in India

The Vulture may be a bird that is reviled by many as a scavenger but it plays a vital role in the food chain.
In India that role is being disrupted. The Vulture is experiencing what's considered an unprecedented decline for any species of animal on the planet. Fifteen years ago vulture numbers were estimated to be between 40 and 80 million birds, but now only a mere few thousand remain.
