Thai website editor arrested

Thai authorities have arrested the editor of well-known news website after a reader posted offensive comments about the monarchy.

But in this case, the webmaster of the Prachatai site hasn't been charged under lese majeste laws. Instead she's been charged under a 2007 law that bans any computer content that's seen a threat to national security. Free speech advocates say it's the next frontier in Thai authorities' efforts to crack down on dissent on the internet.
