In the United States, there's mounting concern, even within Democratic ranks, that the Obama administration isn't doing enough to confront the deepening recession.
Much of the criticism is aimed at Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, who's failed to impress, with his proposals to fix the battered financial system.
