Humanitarian crisis brewing for Burma's Karen people

Burma's exiled democracy movement has warned of a humanitarian crisis on the doorstep of regional countries, if they ignore attacks by the Burmese military on ethnic groups.
The National Coalition Government of the Union of Burma cites reports of recent military assaults on Karen tribespeople on the Thai-Burmese border. One report said 4,000 Karen civilians were forced to flee to neighbouring Thailand, because of a Burmese military offensive.
