Australia works on policy to assist foreign students

The national and state governments of Australia have moved to develop an international student strategy, after the well-publicised attacks on Indian students.
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and his deputy Julia Gillard say they hope the plan will promote closer contact between the students and the broader community, and support police initiatives to curb violence.
