Genetic risk factors in skin cancer: research

Australian scientists have now found two genes which together double a person's risk of developing that particular form of skin cancer.
Australia has the highest incidence of melanoma in the world, with more than 10,000 new cases every year. While the links to sun exposure are well know, the genetic element to skin cancer has been explored in research published in the journal "Nature Genetics"
