Human rights allegations follow Indonesian candidates

While Indonesia's presidential election is another step to democracy, human rights groups have concerns about the military's influence in the political process.
Three of the candidiates, including the incumbent Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, were former generals during the Suharto era, and have been implicated in human rights violations in East Timor and other Indonesian territories.
