Australia's health system set for revamp

The Australian government has unveiled a proposed overhaul of the nation's health system.
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd yesterday released the final report drawn up by the National Health and Hospitals Reform Commission, after over a year's scrutiny by ten health policy experts. The plan could also see the national health benefits scheme Medicare transformed into a more market-driven system.
