US remains in Iraq, as 'coalition' prepares for home

In just a couple of days, the so-called 'Coalition of the Willing' in Iraq will be a coalition no more.
The only troops remaining will be American, and even they are continuing to reduce their role towards making a complete withdrawal by the end of 2001. Meanwhile, the US Defence Secretary, Robert Gates has made a surprise visit to Baghdad.
