UN resolution gives new hope for nuclear non-proliferation

US President Barack Obama has convened the first ever summit-level meeting of the UN Security Council and has got all 15 member nations to agree to a resolution on nuclear disarmament.
The resolution commits countries to refraining from conducting nuclear test explosions and seeks to secure vulnerable nuclear material so it doesn't end up in the hands of terrorists. It will also freeze financial assests being used for nuclear proliferation.
