Conditions tough in closely-guarded Sri Lankan camps
Updated
The Sri Lanka government has announced it is moving around 40,000 people from camps in the island's north. The move comes almost five months after the defeat of the Tamil Tigers and the end of decades of civil war.
More than 200,000 people still live in the centres, with access very difficult for independent observers. One person who has managed to visit some of these camps is Jason Thomas, of the American relief agency US-AID.
