International climate health council established
Updated
Senior doctors from every continent have joined forces to create a new International Climate and Health Council.
The Council's being launched just under two weeks before the UN climate change summit in Copenhagen. Its members include around 40 of the world's top physicians from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and Australia. They say the cost of doing nothing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions will result in millions of deaths from natural disasters and infectious diseases.
