China builds replica NZ city to woo tourists

An unusual project is underway in northern China. to build a replica of a New Zealand city.

Private investors from both countries have begun work on what will be the "New Zealand Gardens Qufu Project" in China's Shandong Province. The idea is to encourage more Chinese tourists to visit the "Land of the Long White Cloud".
