'Yellow Shirts' charged over airport seizure
Updated
Police in Thailand have charged dozens of royalist 'Yellow Shirts' over the 2008 siege of two Bangkok airports.
A spokesman for the anti-Thaksin movement said half of the group of thirty were charged with terrorism offences, including protest leaders Sondhi Limthongkul and Somsak Kosaisuk. The Yellow Shirts' 2008 siege of Bangkok's two main airports stranded thousands of tourists and helped topple a government allied to ousted former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
