Greens emerge as force in Australian election

Six days after Australia went to the polls, we still don't know the final results, much less who'll form Government.

At current count, Labor and the Coalition each have 72 seats. The only undecided one is Brisbane, where the Liberal-National Party is ahead. It leaves the four independents and one Green holding the key as to which party is given the chance to form government. Australian Greens leader Bob Brown says any move by Tony Abbott to push for a new election is " quite unwarranted". On Saturday the party recorded its biggest ever national vote with a five percent swing an nation wide primary vote of 11 point four per cent.
