Local media reports in Solomon Islands say 10 Cuban doctors are expected to arrive in the country this month.

Another 30 will reportedly be brought in later.

The Solomon Star newspaper reports under the arrangement, Cuba would meet the doctors' salaries, while the Solomon Islands Government provides accommodation.

Besides recruiting the Cuban doctors, the paper says the Government team will also be seeking placement for Solomon Islands students and doctors to study in the country.
