Australia is through to the gold medal match at the Champions Trophy tournament in Melbourne after beating India.

The semi-final score was 3-0.

The Kookaburras led by two goals to nil at half time after a double from veteran Jamie Dwyer.

Kieran Govers added another in the second half.

Australia will face the Netherlands in the final.

The host nation is chasing a fifth straight Champions Trophy title.

The world's premier men's hockey event has been in the southern Australian city for six days of intense competition.
