Indonesian-born cake decorator Handi Mulyana grew up surrounded by flour, sugar and eggs in the family bakery. Now his icing-coated masterpieces have a celebrity clientele including Oprah Winfrey, Nicole Kidman and Chloe Kardashian.

Growing up in the family bakery in Indonesia, Handi Mulyana was fascinated with the process that turned raw products like flour, sugar and eggs into something you could eat.

When he was older, he decided to let his imagination run wild, followed his baking nose to Australia and set up shop in Sydney. Today his sugary works of art take centre stage at weddings and parties and come in every shape and size - from lead guitars, to high heel shoes and even dancing hippos!

With a growing media profile thanks to TV appearances on programs like Masterchef Australia and Masterchef Indonesia, online cooking and decorating classes and in-house workshops Handi is going global with a fun and fabulous approach to cakes that goes as far as his imagination will take him.

We meet Handi in his Sydney cake emporium.
