Northern New South Wales is bracing for yet more devastation as flooding continues, days after thousands were evacuated.

New South Wales is bracing for further devastation as flood waters remain high, with the prospect of more damage on the way.

Rivers at the towns of Woodburn and Bungawalbin are expected to peak later today, days after evacuation orders were issued for thousands of resident in the NSW's north and south-east Queensland.
