The Australian actor who played the "Solo Man" in the 1980s soft drink commercials has been arrested in Cambodia on drug charges.

Mark Coutelas, 57, was arrested in the southern Cambodian town of Sihanoukeville on Monday, according to local media reports.

Police photos show him with a bag of the drug ice, marijuana and smoking devices.

Police say he will be charged with using and selling drugs.

In the 1980s he was cast as the macho Solo Man — most famously kayaking down a mudslide and off a cliff into a waterfall pool.

In 2014, Mr Coutelas was jailed for two years in Thailand for possession of ice and a handgun.
