A man is charged over a road rage incident, captured on a mobile phone, on the New South Wales Central Coast

A man has been charged over a road rage incident on the New South Wales Central Coast, police have said.

The 41-year-old man is accused of punching a 21-year-old woman in the face during an argument on the Pacific Highway at Lake Munmorah on Monday afternoon.

Police received mobile phone footage of the attack.

Vision posted on social media shows a man getting out of his car, walking towards a woman as she stood next to her vehicle and punching her in the face.

This morning, a Windermere Park man presented himself to police at Wyong.

He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear in Wyong Local Court next month.
