Australian ex-servicemen who participated in British nuclear tests in the 1950s are calling on the Federal government to follow New Zealand's lead and pay for D-N-A testing, to establish conclusively any links between poor health and exposure to radiation.

Fifty New Zealand atomic survivors are about to provide their blood and saliva samples for examination. Australian survivors say the testing could give them the hard evidence they need .. to get access to the subsidised medical care that other veterans receive. But as Michele Fonseca reports, the Australian government has rejected the calls .. speaking of untested science.
