As well as the Indonesian Film Festival, Melbourne is hosting the annual Underground Film Festival this week.

One of the films showing is "Breaking the News", a documentary about the role of media in East Timor.

It follows two of the country's most respected journalists Joso Belo and Rosa Garcia, and looks at the challenges of reporting the truth in a country were corruption is rife, violence is common and war is a recent raw memory.

Presenter: Liam Cochrane
