A young Australian man is hoping to become the youngest person to row solo and non-stop across the Pacific Ocean.

27-year-old Ben Turner will set off from Peru and row more than 13-thousand kilometres to the finish in Sydney.

Making the records books is only part of the reason for Turner's trip - he's also using the journey to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.
