Burma's opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been portrayed on stage and in movies a number of times, with the latest being the Hollywood production "The Lady".

But there's a figure in the Burmese leader's life that the lady herself feels needs to be on film and rather than wait for a producer to come knocking on her door, she's decided to initiate the project herself.

And that's a movie about the life of her father, the Burmese independence hero General Aung San.

Burmese award winning actress Ma Kyu is involved with talks to make the movie.

Ma Kyu's screen name is Myint Myint Khine.

Presenter: Adelaine Ng

Speaker: Ma Kyu, Academy award winning actress in Burma and movie producer
