Aussies miss out at Academy Awards

The winners of the 85th Academy Awards have been announced in Los Angeles.

Best Film was won by Argo, while Daniel Day Lewis picked up his third Oscar award for Best Actor.

Jennifer Lawrence won the Best Actress award for her role in the comedy Silver Linings Playbook.
 
Australian eyes were fixed on the fortunes of Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts and Jacki Weaver, but none of whom went home with a golden statuette called Oscar.
 
But there were plenty of crowd-pleasing moments.
 
Tracee Hutchison spoke to David Stratton, a veteran Australian film critic and co-host ABC TV's "At the Movies".
 
He picked out some highlights - including Best Film, announced by the US First Lady Michelle Obama.
