Australian Poetry Slam winner to tour China and Indonesia

Poetry Slam is a competition where poets perform against each other.

This year's winner is C.J. Bowerbird, who was voted with two perfect scores for his winning piece by a cheering audience in Sydney.

 
C.J. will travel the world to participate in writers festivals to meet other writers as well and be a cultural ambassador for the Australian spoken word.
 
Together with founder of the Australian Poetry Slam, Miles Merrill, CJ speaks to Phil Kafcaloudes about the philosophy of slam poetry.
