Car factory drives South Korean investment in Cambodia

South Korean president Lee Myung Bak is beginning a two day visit to Cambodia Thursday, prior to the ASEAN meeting in Thailand.

The two countries are hoping to strengthen bilateral relations, and the South Korean ambassador to Cambodia says the country is an important recipient of overseas development aid from Seoul. But, investment dollars are also welcome, and the construction of a car assembly plant in Cambodia, thanks to South Korean investment, is a sign that greater foreign investment in Cambodia is on the way.
