The Australian government will hold a Royal Commission into Child Abuse at religious and public institutions. 

No group is more affected than the Catholic Church, which has seen increasing evidence of child abuse by some priests over the years.

 
Meantime, the church refuses to have its own inquiry.  
 
Phil Kafcaloudes speaks to Father Bob Maguire, a retired Catholic priest who was one of several prominent signatories on an online petition believed to be the final factor in pushing the government to act.
