Commonwealth Women's Affairs Ministers back ILO Convention

The Commonwealth Women Affairs Ministers Meeting has moved to endorse a new International Labour Organisation standard protecting the rights of domestic workers.

That's thanks to Samoa's Minister for Women, Community Development and the Public Service Commission, Fiame Naomi Mataafa the only Pacific delegate attending the gathering in Barbados.

In the closing plenary of the meeting she pushed to have the amendment included in their communique.
