Music, theatre and media have become indispensible tools for Kiribati's peak disability organisation in its efforts to improve the lives of its members.

Te Toa Matoa was formed a few years ago and its membership continues to grow as it continued on its campaign of promoting rights, services and improvements in opportunities for the disabled.

A few members of the group have been visiting Australia for a series of skills building programs involving theatre, music, TV production and a film festival.

Clement Paligaru caught up with the group, and the conversations began with a welcome song performed live in our ABC studios.

Presenter: Clement Paligaru
