In 2005 an Australian film maker started on a journey capturing a snapshot of the views and lives of children aged 11.

She ended up with an international cast of 23 pre-adolescents filmed in 15 countries, providing audiences with an insight into the world around them in an enlightening and humourous way.

Genevieve Bailey is the director and producer of I Am Eleven. She shares with Adelaine Ng some of the challenges and joys of the journey.

I AM Eleven won this year's Outstanding Documentary Award at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California, USA. It also won best documentary in Australia at the 2011 Inside Film Awards and was the audience award winner at the 2011 Melbourne International Film Festival.
