Drug misuse causes antibiotic resistance to grow

There's concern among health authorities that improper and excessive use of antibiotics is leading to diseases becoming drug resistance.

One type of bacteria, which killed 480 thousand people in South-East Asia in 2009, is Tuberculosis or TB. TB is preventable and curable but antibiotic resistance is a growing problem - which means the TB bacteria is resistant to the most effective medication.
