Now to the booming business of coal seam gas and calls for greater control of the industry by the Australian Parliament.

Australia has rich deposits of coal seam gas - a term that refers to the methane adsorbed into the solid matrix of the coal. Until now developments have been controlled by the states - but Liberal Senator Bill Heffernan says approvals and regulation have been 'inadequate' little more than 'camouflage' and that it's time for the Commonwealth to get involved.
