Malaysia's prime minister Najib Razak is under pressure to act against politicians who instigate racial hatred.

The Utusan Melayu newspaper on the weekend carried a front page story accusing Christians in the country of plotting with the opposition, to challenge Malay rule. Now, the head of the Malay nationalist organisation, Perkasa, says he'll wage a crusade against Christians, if they challenge Islam's position in Malaysia. The statement by Perkasa president, Ibrahim Ali has outraged many Malaysians, but members insist theirs is not a racist organisation.
