Nauru hunger strike enters 9th day

Concerns increase for 300 asylum seekers in immigration detention on Nauru.

There are fresh concerns about the deteriorating situation of 300 asylum seekers in immigration detention on Nauru whose hunger strike has entered it's ninth day.

Refugee rights groups are reporting that 13 people have required medical attention today.  
 
It's believed the medical centre has been using glucose drips to rehydrate the hunger strikers 
 
There are also growing concerns regarding the health of the Iranian man who is believed to be in his 29th day of hunger strike.
