The Pacific Islands' Forum Ministerial Contact Group, tasked with forming a continuing dialogue with Fiji's military backed regime, has accepted an invitation to visit the island nation.

It will be the third time the group will have visited Fiji since its formation, but the first visit since the country scrapped the constitution on Good Friday 2009, and then enforced censorship on all local media. The offer to visit Fiji was made on Monday, in Auckland, during the group's latest meeting.

Presenter: Campbell Cooney

Professor Brij Lal from the Australian National University; Murray McCully, NZ Foreign Minister; Sam Abal, PNG Foreign Minister; Stephen Smith. Australian Foreign Minister; Dr Steven Ratuva, Auckland University
