Sepik Spirit House on show at Brisbane's Asia Pacific Triennial

Papua New Guinea's spirit house installation  made a very strong impression at the opening of the 7th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art on the weekend.

The Triennial, which is on at the at the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) is the only series of exhibitions focusing exclusively on contemporary art from the Asia Pacific region   It's the gallery's flagship event  and a significant  one in Australia's cultural calendar: spanning four months and attracting  an ever growing number of visitors.  Isabelle Genoux reports from the official opening.
