Updated 3 May 2013, 14:59 AEST

Children from schools across the Marshall Islands have produced a set of twelve picture books in both the Marshallese and English language.

The books were produced by the Unbound Bookmaker Project, with the support of WorldTeach volunteers, the Marshall Islands Ministry of Education and local donors.

Copies have been given to the 211 students who created the books, and full sets of all twelve books will be distributed free of charge to each of the Marshall islands' seventy-nine schools.

Presenter:  Heather Jarvis

Speaker:     Jamie Zvirdzin, Founder of the Unbound Bookmaker Project
