Thousands launch class action against Palau registration

The government of Palau is being sued for proposed changes to the alien registration scheme, with a senator leading complaints against a directive requiring all foreign workers and their dependants to register and pay $25.

Senator Adalbert Eledui believes President Johnson Toribiong's directive is unconstitutional.

The Palau Bureau of Immigration began the process of registering foreign workers in August.
