Tongan PM hails democratic change

Tonga's Prime Minister says his country's democratic election is a watershed in the nation's history.

Dr Fred Sevele says most Tongans agree with the move towards greater democracy, but there are disagreements over how swiftly changes should be made.

The Prime Minister, who is stepping down at this election,says he's pleased to have presided over a period of dramatic political change, culminating in the introduction of a more representative system of government.
