Tuvalu's opposition leader Enele Sopoanga says there's an urgent need for increased agriculture in Tuvalu, particularly sustainable food crops to reduce the nation's import bill.

During a visit to Radio Australia in Melboiurne this week, Mr Sopoanga also called for a more objective media in Tuvalu, which tells stories accurately and in a balanced way rather than just the government's version of events.
