UN attempts to combat illegal trade of chemicals, waste across Asia

The United Nations Environment Program is stepping up its fight against the illegal trade in banned chemicals and waste across Asia.

With the cooperation of 25 countries in the region, an enforcement network is being launched to reduce the movement of harmful substances and waste and promote legal trade.

The project will help customs officers control the movement of chemicals more effectively.
