A border security conference in Melbourne has been told the huge number of yachts sailing in the region represent a major security concern.

A lack of resources to check the vessels and sometimes the absence of legislation in some countries are also concerns.

There have also been a growing number of cases of commecial fraud in the region.

Presenter:Girish Sawlani

Speakers:Clement Taipala, Oceania Customs Organisation Secretariat; LLew Russel, CEO, Shipping Australia; Ben Evans, Australian Customs and Border Protection Service.
